OSbIS provides infrastructure network services and system/user support. The basic objective is delivery, installation and configuration of network infrastructure, software and hardware, to cover all the needs of the company in Internet environment, see the Services menu. In the cases, that you already have in place existing standards, it is possible to migrate them, respectively  we can ensure also system and user support for existing infrastructure. In such case, the system, the way of implementation, the scope and price of  support are subjects to mutual agreement.
We’ve split our services on the basis of the experience into the programs, according to the quantity and the level of provided services. To the selected program, you can order also other services, see the Price list of services. Our target group are small businesses, which in particular for security reasons, prefer the personal ownership of hardware before sharing virtual resources located in data centers, respectively in the clouds.
A prerequisite for the provision of any service from our portfolio is the existence of a prescribed type of hardware, see the menu Products. The delivery of hardware along with the service is not a necessary condition, and you can also supply them on your own. The hardware is however closely linked with the supplied services and therefore it is not possible to build our services on a different type of hardware, respectively not with standard list prices. Any such case is the subject of an individual quote.

Why OSbIS?
-Single and comprehensive solution for services required for the effective existence of the enterprise  in the Internet environment.
-Solutions based on open source software, which do not require any one-time or recurring license fees.
-Analysis of your individual needs and the subsequent processing of a quote free of charge.
-Tailor-made solutions, introduced “at home” in the course of a few days (delivery time does not include the supply of hardware).
-Documentation and user support in the period of 1 month after the solution is deployed is already calculated in the price of the selected program.

.. a why not a Cloud?
Although cloud has its distinct advantages such as availability, security, price, etc., there are also disadvantages, respectively on some of the above advantages, one could argue.
The main disadvantages of the cloud includes:

  • Potential inaccessibility of services (service outage or failure of internet connection – which is much more common cause)
It says that the system is only as strong as its weakest part is. In this case it is connection to the Internet. Just when your router (or that you have from an Internet provider) become faulty, you get to absolutely no data. For local infrastructure, the data is still available in such case.
  • Concerns about data security and data protection
It is unnecessary to compare the protection of data centers with local installation. These will never achieve the level of protection against attacks such as that in the cloud. But the motivation of hackers is usually different, in principle, but it is mostly about money or fame or praise. If you own a small company is the motivation of hackers to attack it and cause you to fail services or other damage, too small. The opposite is usually for large data centers, which are also impenetrable. The truth is that it does not happen often, but the few times it happened, and certainly it happen in the future. May not have been about directly your data, you are in fact only “consider” with others.
  • The absence of intervention options and making more advanced system configuration or tailored configurations (with the exception of Infrastructure As A Service)
In principle, if its not IAAS, than you as the customer have only minimal opportunities for the scaling it in terms of resources parameterization. Even with IAAS, typically you have to choose only from specific scenarios. When ordering applications from the public cloud, mostly you will not know any information about the specific resources that will be available.
  • Difficult to change provider
Change itself is not very problematic in terms of termination of the contract, however, it is more difficult to preserve the availability of the systems during the change itself or afterwards. There’s a lot of things that need to think about, such as changes to IP addresses, access, etc. It is often necessary to run both solutions (old and new) for some time, which is uncompetitive.
  • The price
Many times is the price, except for availability, the main attraction, which forced the company to think about the transition to cloud-based solutions. Price comparison between our and cloud-based solutions can be found in each of our programs, whether it is Basic, Standard, Professional or Premium. Of course the price of consumed energy must be added to the local solutions. This amount is typically around tens of € per month, which is negligible item compared with total cost.
